With WorkSpace Week coming up, it is a timely reminder to think about how everyday work habits. Most of the neck pain, back discomfort, headaches and shoulder tension we see at Tassell Chiropractic didn’t begin with a single dramatic moment. They built up gradually. Long hours at a computer. Lifting the same loads day after day. Driving, repetitive tasks, stress, or simply not moving enough (the school run counts as sitting too, unfortunately).
Small Changes Worth Making This Week
- Position your screen around eye level and roughly an arm’s length away.
- Adjust your chair so you can sit comfortably with your feet supported.
- Break up long periods of sitting by getting up and moving regularly.
- Bring your phone closer to eye level rather than spending long periods looking down.
- Change positions throughout the day where your work allows.
